The Role
We are looking for a talented and motivated Graduate Mining Risk Consultant to join our search writing team.
The position is an office-based writer of environmental assessment reports for financial and property lending transactions and to answer client queries about these reports. The expectation is that the role will require regular office attendance, so you should be suitably located. It is possible to work from home when not in the office, providing you have a suitable space and broadband speed (30mbps down / 15mbps up).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general workload for mining searches as directed by the Mining Searches Manager
- Write reports efficiently and at a high standard
- Learn to take all ground stability/mining queries and enquiries
- Mindful of team requirements and actively contribute to its growth
- Contribute to wider team discussion and development and become involved with wider Groundsure activities

Essential
What We're Looking For
- Educated to degree level in a relevant history, geography, archaeology, geology, mining or related subject
- Ability to work in the office three days per week and work from home two days per week
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Accuracy and an attention to detail
Desirable
- Working experience of reporting processes
- Experience of GIS software
- A relevant post-graduate qualification
- Knowledge of mining techniques and mining history
- Demonstrable experience of working on your own initiative
