Graduate Nutrition Teaching Assistant

Train to Teach Opportunity

Location: Nuneaton, London (SE11 postcode area)

Salary: £26,000–£28,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Start Date: September (or ASAP)

Are you a recent Nutrition graduate looking to begin a rewarding career in education?

We are recruiting on behalf of two secondary schools in the SE11 area of London for an ambitious Graduate Nutrition Teaching Assistant with a clear pathway into teacher training.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience while supporting students in Food, Nutrition and Health-related subjects before progressing onto a salaried or unsalaried teacher training programme.

About The Role

As a Graduate Nutrition Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support students in Food Technology, Nutrition and related lessons.
  • Work alongside experienced teachers to deliver engaging learning experiences.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group academic support.
  • Help raise student attainment and confidence.
  • Develop the skills and experience needed to progress into teacher training.

Essential Requirements

To be considered, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • 2:1 degree or above in Nutrition or a closely related subject (e.g. Human Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Science, Nutritional Sciences).
  • A Levels or BTEC Level 3 (Pass/C or above).
  • GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above in English and Mathematics.
  • Right to Work in the UK.

Please note: We are unable to accept equivalent qualifications in place of A Levels/BTEC or GCSEs. Applicants must hold the specified UK qualifications.
