Graduate Opportunity: Area/Shift Manager – Amazon Operations UK
About the Role
Amazon Operations is currently hiring graduates to join as Area/Shift Managers across multiple locations in the UK. Start dates range from July to October 2026.
In this hands-on role, you’ll lead a large and diverse team, ensuring operational efficiencies and smooth business processes. You’ll implement team strategies to drive productivity while collaborating to resolve challenges—ensuring no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing
- Analyse and implement corrective actions to maintain high quality, productivity, and business goals across shifts
- Support and lead teams, balancing administrative duties with fostering a strong team culture
- Optimise workflows through performance analysis and suggest process improvements to enhance customer service
- Collaborate with other managers to standardise shift processes

A Day in the Life
- Work shifts at operational sites, prioritising safety, team management, and process efficiency
- Handle daily operational tasks, escalations, process improvements, and contingency planning
- Engage with colleagues across teams and external partners to meet customer demands
- Analyse performance data and metrics alongside operational leaders
- Discuss technical improvements with engineers and leaders
About The Team
Amazon’s Customer Fulfilment (CF) team operates the backbone of the business, managing 1.5+ million daily orders. Scaling from early shipping origins to a global operation, CF ensures rapid, affordable deliveries by optimising inventory and logistics. Fulfilment Centres—referred to as Amazon’s "First Mile"—are pivotal in keeping products moving swiftly.

Basic Qualifications
- Completed a university degree before the start date
- Advanced proficiency in written and verbal English (and a local language)
- Experience in data analysis

Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant education in Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering, or related fields
- Proven ability to communicate across diverse stakeholders (team members, leadership)
- Experience in logistical or operational environments
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional setting
