Graduate Area/Shift Manager – Amazon Fulfillment Operations (UK)
We're currently hiring graduates to join Amazon Operations in the United Kingdom. Opportunities are available at multiple locations across the country with start dates ranging from July through October 2026.
About the Role
When you join Amazon as an Area/Shift Manager, you’ll gain valuable experience leading a large, diverse team to ensure your operational area remains high-performing and resilient. This hands-on role will help you understand the intricacies of scaling operations globally while driving seamless execution.

Key Responsibilities
- Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing within the team
- Analyse data to implement corrective actions ensuring quality, productivity, and adherence to business objectives across all shifts
- Support and guide a team, performing administrative tasks while nurturing a strong team culture
- Monitor performance metrics and propose process improvements to optimise workflow and enhance customer service
- Collaborate with other managers to standardise shift processes
A Day in the Life
- Work rotating shifts based at one of Amazon’s operational sites
- Oversee safety standards and process efficiency within your area
- Prioritise routine team management while addressing escalations or operational challenges
- Contribute to process improvement efforts and large-scale operational contingency planning

About The Team
You'll be part of Customer Fulfilment (CF), the cornerstone of Amazon’s operations. This globally scaled team processes over 1.5 million orders daily—evidence of its success in driving diversification across Amazon’s product range and new regions.
CF plays the critical "First Mile" role—where orders begin their journey. Fulfilment Centers act as the backbone of this fast-paced network, handling dynamic inventory and facilitating efficient deliveries. Success here translates to speed and scalability across the entire business.
The CF team includes professionals in diverse roles, from logistics and data analysis to direct order fulfilment. Collaboration is central, ensuring alignment between operational teams, decision-makers, and external partners.
Basic Qualifications
✔ Completed university degree before the start date OR graduated within the last 24 months ✔ Advanced proficiency in written and verbal English and the local language ✔ Experience in data analysis (preferably in a professional or academic setting)

Preferred Qualifications
🔹 Currently enrolled in (or recently completed) a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
- Supply Chain
- Business/Management
- Engineering
- Or a related field
🔹 demonstrable experience in communicating effectively across multiple stakeholders (peers, leadership) 🔹 familiarity with logistical environments 🔹 professional proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
