Auger is looking for a Graduate Product Owner to join our Digital Operations Team in Wallasey.
This individual will focus on IT delivery and sit at the heart of our development function, coordinating the day-to-day output of our development team and ensuring we continue to deliver high-quality digital solutions that support our people, clients and customers across the UK.
Financials
- An attractive salary of £27,101.46 plus 5.5% pension contribution
- Annual profit share bonus paid in November approx. £2000 - £2500
Working Hours
- Full Time - 37.5hrs per week, Monday - Friday
Leave
- 22 Days Annual Leave + 8 Bank Holidays
- AL increases to 25 days within 5 years' service

The Role
- Coordinate the day-to-day technical organisation of specific software development projects and tasks
- Support the delivery of the prioritised backlog across projects, technical debt, and small bug fixes / enhancements
- Ensure developers are fully utilised and working without blockers on the relevant projects and tasks as per the requirements set by the Digital Delivery Supervisor
- Provide timely, accurate delivery status updates to the Digital Delivery Supervisor and Head of Digital Operations
- Act as the bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating priorities into actionable development tasks and overseeing user acceptance testing
- Engage with developers at a technical level and be able to challenge estimates and assess scope and complexity

- A basic understanding of Agile principles and digital delivery, with the ability to work in a well-organised, focused team
- The technical credibility to hold informed conversations with developers about complexity, trade-offs and risk
- Strong organisational skills with a talent for keeping backlog tasks clean and free from ambiguity
- Clear and confident communication, able to convey delivery status accurately to both technical colleagues and senior stakeholders
- A proactive mindset when it comes to identifying blockers, dependencies and risks early
- A degree involving programming, computer science or technical project management
- Experience using task management tools such as Jira, Excel, and DevOps software
