There are four Programme Controls graduate opportunities available this year - two based in London and two based in Birmingham. All positions will involve regular travel to various site locations along the HS2 route.

The Programme Controls graduate programme has been specifically tailored to build capability and competence in various aspects of programme and project controls. It will provide you with experience and exposure to the different aspects through role rotations, ‘on-the-job’ training, technical qualifications, and support from technical leads and mentoring.

  • Monitoring and reporting – assisting in tracking progress of projects against timelines, budgets, and milestones.
  • Change control – help manage changes to the programme’s scope ensuring that any changes are documented, assessed for impact, and approved according to change management processes.
  • Stakeholder management – support effective communication between project teams, programme managers, and stakeholders, ensuring that key information is shared and understood.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
