Role Description
The Graduate Project Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Amersham. This role involves supporting the design, development, and optimization of PBM devices and systems, including prototyping, testing, and documentation. The Graduate Project Engineer collaborates with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to translate clinical and customer requirements into technical specifications, ensure quality and safety standards are met, and assist in continuous product improvement. - Participating in project planning
- Running experiments and measurements
- Analyzing data
- Preparing technical reports
- Contributing to manufacturing and assembly processes
The role also includes:
- Troubleshooting technical issues
- Supporting customer training materials
- Maintaining clear communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in engineering principles, ideally in mechanical, electrical, biomedical, or a related discipline, with a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree.
- Skills in CAD design, basic electronics or mechatronics, and familiarity with prototyping and laboratory testing environments.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret technical data using tools such as spreadsheets, basic statistical methods, or engineering software.
- Knowledge of or strong interest in medical devices, photomedicine, optics, or laser/LED technologies.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation, reporting, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Capability to plan and organize tasks, manage time effectively, and contribute to multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail, commitment to safety and quality standards, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow within an innovative company, with a passion for improving patient outcomes and advancing healthcare technology.
