Description

Job Title: Graduate Naval Ships Project Management (Combat Systems)

Location: Broad Oak (Hampshire). We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – however for this role you will be expected to attend your site 3-5 days per week.

Salary: £34,000 Per Annum + £2,000 Welcome Bonus

Role Description

Assisting with a wide variety of tasks such as, controlling budgets, reporting, decision making and the governance of change within projects. Managing project progress, identify emerging issues and trend, fulfilling contractual requirements and interfacing with our customers. Reviewing performance, analysing risks and informing decisions to optimise project success. You will receive support to enable yourself to gain a breadth of skills and business experience to be a success in this field. What’s certain is that your small contribution will aid the UK MOD and our international customers receive the capability they need to operate effectively and easily.

Core Duties

Support the planning, tracking and delivery of project activities, following established project management processes and governance. Gather, organise and interpret project information to help the team make informed decisions. Work closely with colleagues and stakeholders, sharing clear and timely updates. Use recognised project management tools and techniques to solve routine problems and improve ways of working. Contribute to high quality, accurate project outputs that support cost, schedule and risk control. Take responsibility for personal learning and development, applying best practice and building business awareness.

The Naval Ships Team

We design and build offshore patrol vessels, giant aircraft carrier and provide complex warships including the Type 26 Frigate to the Royal Navy, giving the customer capability to fulfil operations around the world.

Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.

Qualification Requirements

You must have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a minimum 2:2 bachelor’s degree or a pass at master’s level in any subject.
