The opportunity

The Substation Project Management team is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Graduate Project Manager to support the planning, execution, and closing of various energy projects within HITACHI ENERGY UK LIMITED. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop project management skills within a leading global technology and energy company.

(Also note we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position)

How You'll Make An Impact

  • Assist senior project managers in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Support the coordination of project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders, both internal and external, providing updates on project status.
  • Help prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and presentations.
  • Participate in project meetings, taking minutes and tracking action items.
  • Contribute to the identification and implementation of process improvements within project delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and quality requirements.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree (2:1 or higher) or equivalent experience in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A keen interest in the energy sector and sustainable technologies.
  • Prior internship or work experience in a project-related role is desirable but not essential.
  • Right to work in the UK.
