About the Role Have you recently graduated in Psychology and seek hands-on experience before pursuing Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, teaching or another SEND-focused profession? A welcoming secondary school in Coventry is recruiting a passionate Psychology graduate to join its dedicated SEND team from September. This long-term position provides exceptional experience working alongside educators and specialists while directly shaping students’ lives.
The Role
As a Graduate Psychology Learning Support Assistant, you’ll be a key part of the school’s inclusion team, assisting pupils both in and out of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored 1:1 and small group academic interventions
- Support pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other additional learning needs
- Foster positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and social development
- Collaborate with teachers to adapt learning activities for individual pupils
- Help students build confidence, resilience, and independence
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment
About You
The ideal candidate will bring:
- A Psychology degree (minimum 2:1, First preferred)
- Strong A-Level and GCSE results
- A deep interest in child development, mental health and inclusive education
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- A calm, patient and resilient approach
- Desirable but not essential: Prior experience working with children or young people in schools, tutoring, youth work, or care settings
