We’re working with a specialist civil engineering contractor delivering long-term infrastructure works within the Southern Water framework. They’re looking to bring in a Graduate or Apprentice-level Quantity Surveyor who is keen to learn, develop, and build a long-term career in the water sector.

This is a genuine opportunity to work closely with an experienced Head of Commercial, gaining hands-on exposure to projects and commercial management from day one.
The Role
Supporting the commercial team across a range of water infrastructure projects Assisting with cost reporting, valuations, and variations Working with NEC forms of contract Learning the full commercial lifecycle of civils projects Building strong relationships with site and operational teams Hybrid working, with flexibility based on output and trust

What They’re Looking For
Degree / HNC / HND in Quantity Surveying or similar (or currently working towards) Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Interest in civil engineering / infrastructure (water experience beneficial but not essential) Basic understanding of NEC contracts (or eagerness to learn) Good communication skills and attention to detail
