Job Description
AECOM is seeking Quantity Surveying Graduates (Norwich or Cambridge) or Graduate Employers Agents (Cambridge) to support our cost management teams in the UK, Ireland, and internationally.
About the Role
AECOM provides Cost Management services to both public and private sector clients across industries, including:
- Commercial (new builds, refurbishments, occupier fit-outs for property developers)
- Manufacturing, Industrial, and Automotive Facilities
- Education (schools, academies, colleges, universities)
- Health & Science (health authorities and research organisations)
- Residential Developments (for major developers)
- Leisure & Culture (theatres, concert halls, museums)
- Infrastructure (large-scale rail, highways, water schemes)
Graduates will work on a mix of local projects while collaborating with global teams—including opportunities overseas. You’ll engage at every project stage, from initial design to post-construction, across high-profile clients.

Pre-Contract Responsibilities
- Cost modelling and cost consulting
- Benchmarking against industry standards
- Value and risk analysis
- Active participation in design meetings
- Procurement coordination and tender management
- Preparation of contract documentation
Post-Contract Responsibilities
- Attendance at site progress meetings
- Execution of valuations
- Financial reporting and variance analysis
- Due diligence reports
- Overseeing change management procedures

Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (at least 2:1 or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying (preferably RICS accredited)
Skills & Attributes
- Critical thinking and strong verbal/written communication
- Proactive, goal-driven approach with clear ownership over deadlines
- Ability to work effectively in diverse teams
- Excellent ** organisational skills,** balancing multiple tasks while being open to support or lending assistance
