About Lúnasa
Lúnasa is a UK-based NewSpace company (acquired by Infinite Orbits) building advanced and autonomous systems and satellites for in-orbit satellite services. Our mission is to provide geostationary operators with all the in-orbit services they need, from the inspection of their assets to the extension of their lifespan and the management of the end-of-life phase.
The company has received multiple awards and contracts from the UK Space Agency and the European Space Agency (ESA) to build and deploy AI-based satellite rendezvous proximity operations (RPO) technology, set to demonstrate this innovation in space by 2027.

Lúnasa is seeking a Graduate Robotics Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of precise, adaptive robotic systems.
We operate an in-house robotic dark room test facility with state-of-the-art technologies, simulating in-orbit satellite servicing. If you have hands-on experience with robotic arms—especially collaborative/industrial robots—we’d love to hear from you!
Key Skills & Experience
As the Graduate Robotics Engineer, you will:
- Develop, test, and deploy motion planning and control algorithms with ROS (Robot Operating System) and MoveIt!
- Integrate and operates collaborative robotic arms (e.g., UR16e, UR30) for space-related applications
- Perform reference frame transformations, calibration, and kinematic modeling
- Collaborate with software and hardware teams to ensure seamless integration and real-time performance
- Debug robotic issues—from joint-space motion to Cartesian trajectory planning

Essential Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Universal Robots (or similar industrial/collaborative arms)
- Proficiency with ROS and MoveIt!
- Solid understanding of linear algebra, quaternions, and transformations (SE(3))
- Expertise in Python for robotics applications
- Experience with Gazebo, RViz, or similar simulation tools
