Description
This job is for a Graduate Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) Advisor. In simple terms, it’s about helping a company make sure its workplaces are safe, environmentally responsible, and delivering good-quality work.
You’ll learn from experienced professionals and build skills that are valuable in many industries whilst gaining hands-on experience on real projects.
You’ll play a meaningful role in improving safety, protecting the environment, and raising quality standards across our operations—while building a strong foundation for a long-term SHEQ career.
What the job involves
- Keep people safe by visiting sites and checking for anything that could cause accidents.
- Understand what happened if something goes wrong and help find ways to stop it happening again.
- Protect the environment by checking how projects affect nature and supporting sustainability work.
- Make sure work is done properly and meets the standards expected.
- Stay organised by keeping important safety and quality documents up to date.
- Share important messages by giving short talks to teams about staying safe.
- Support training to help people learn safe and responsible ways of working.
What you need
You Should Have
- A university degree in something related — like health and safety, the environment, or engineering.
- A basic understanding of how safety and environmental rules work on construction or infrastructure projects.
- Good communication and people skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyse information.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office tools.
