EC&I Engineering Graduate – Nuvia (2 Year Programme)
Location: Birchwood Business Park, Risley, Warrington
Duration: 2 Years
About the Role
As an EC&I Engineering Graduate at Nuvia, you’ll undertake a two-year development programme blending technical training with hands-on experience across nuclear projects—including decommissioning, commissioning, waste management, defence, and power generation. Your journey will span the entire project lifecycle in highly regulated, safety-critical environments, while progressing toward professional registration with institutions like the IET.
Supported by mentors and experienced professionals, you’ll develop expertise in:
- Electrical, control, and instrumentation systems design
- Practical skills aligned with real-world nuclear challenges
- Technical and professional behaviours essential for a successful career in the nuclear sector.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Reading specifications and scopes of work to produce high-quality engineering deliverables
- Conducting cable calculations
- Supporting commissioning activities
- Applying functional safety principles and electrical installation considerations
- Understanding process measurement and control management
- Bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world challenges
- Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
- Engaging with the supply chain
- Collaborating within multidisciplinary teams
- Developing digital engineering skills through digital software tools

Preferred Degree Disciplines
Applicants should have (or anticipate achieving) a 2:1 honours degree or equivalent in:
- Electrical Engineering
- Related engineering or technology disciplines
