About the Role
We're looking for a creative and ambitious social media executive to join our social media team. This role is part of the Communications & Marketing team, and is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for digital marketing, social media and content creation who wants to develop their career within a global technology company.
You'll play an important role in planning, creating and delivering engaging digital content that brings our brand to life across LinkedIn, YouTube and other digital channels. We're particularly interested in candidates who have experience creating video and social media content for brands through employment, internships, university projects or freelance work.
Responsibilities
As a Social Media Executive, you will:
- Create, publish and manage engaging social media content, including planning, filming and editing video content that aligns with the TCS brand.
- Support the delivery of social media campaigns by maintaining content calendars, updating digital channels and ensuring content is stored, organised and managed across internal and external platforms.
- Work with internal stakeholders and external agencies to commission creative assets, coordinate content production and support wider marketing initiatives.
- Provide administrative support to the social media function, including processing invoices, maintaining accurate records, coordinating meetings and acting as a point of contact for the team.
- Support the planning and delivery of events, workshops and conferences, including capturing content for social media and assisting with event logistics where required.
- Monitor social media performance, stay up to date with industry trends and identify opportunities to improve engagement, reach and content effectiveness.

Key Result Areas
Support the delivery of the social media team work and key engagement initiatives for projects which will include:
- Deliver engaging social media content that supports TCS's brand, campaigns and strategic marketing objectives.
- Support the successful planning, coordination and delivery of social media and communications activities within agreed timelines.
- Maintain organised content libraries, social media assets and digital channels, ensuring content is accurate, up to date and aligned with brand guidelines.
- Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, external agencies and suppliers to support content creation and campaign delivery.
- Ensure invoices and other administrative processes are completed accurately and in line with company policies.
- Contribute ideas and insights that improve social media performance, audience engagement and content effectiveness.
Skills & Experience
Essential Qualifications
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism or a related discipline.
Skills
- Ability to engage with stakeholders whilst prioritising the competing demands of the business.
- A strong team player, flexible and results oriented, who thrives under pressure and brings a positive attitude to all aspects of their work.
- Ability to organise own work effectively and prioritise competing workloads.
- Good IT skills, including experience of using content management systems (CMS), Microsoft Office (particularly Word and PowerPoint).
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Good with numbers.

Desirable Qualifications
- Ideally, one to two years’ experience in communications or a marketing role.
- Experience creating social media content.
- Experience planning, filming and editing video content for brands or organisations.
- Good understanding of social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn and YouTube.
- Experience using content creation tools such as Canva and video editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, Premiere Rush, Adobe Express or CapCut).
- Strong written communication and copywriting skills.

Additional Information
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract and is not expected to be extended or made permanent. The role is based in London with the expectation to be in TCS HQ upon request (travel expenses for usual team meetings are not covered).
