Senior Software Engineer
At Bending Spoons, we’re striving to build one of the all-time great companies. A company that serves a huge number of customers. A company where team members grow to their full potential. A company that functions at unparalleled levels of effectiveness and efficiency. A company that creates value for shareholders at an extraordinary rate. And a company that adheres to high ethical standards.
Our Approach
In pursuit of this objective, we acquire and improve digital businesses—not to sell on, but to own and operate for the long term. The transformations we make are often deep, designed to speed up innovation, benefit customers, and strengthen business performance. We operate with minimal hierarchy, talent-dense teams, and the ambition, agility, and urgency of a startup. AI is integrated deeply into our workflow, reinforcing human judgment with machine intelligence.
If you’re a talented, driven, and collaborative individual, working at Bending Spoons represents an opportunity to learn, make an impact, and progress your career at an exceptionally high rate.
Key Responsibilities
- Build software that matters: Take full ownership from idea to production, creating systems used by millions and scaling them into market-leading products.
- Amplify your impact with AI: Integrate advanced AI tools into your development workflow (design, implementation, testing, and documentation) to accelerate delivery while maintaining correctness, reliability, and maintainability.
- Master your toolkit: Work across diverse stacks—monoliths to microservices, gRPC to REST, Kubernetes to Docker, Python to Rust—applying technologies purposefully, not tradition.
- Simplify relentlessly: Challenge complexity at every level, improving architectures, pipelines, and codebases to build systems that are simpler, more scalable, and easier to maintain.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
