Graduate Sports Assistant Opportunity at Tockington Manor School
We have an exciting opportunity available for a Graduate Sports Assistant to join Tockington Manor School for one academic year from September 2026.
About the Role
The Graduate Sports Assistant is a varied and rewarding role, providing support across both the academic and co-curricular life of Tockington Manor School.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with teaching staff to support pupils in the classroom.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and assist with supervision duties.
- Play an active role within the Games and Physical Education programme, delivering and supporting high-quality lessons, particularly within girls’ hockey, netball, and cricket.
- Help to foster pupils’ enjoyment, participation, and development.

Qualifications and Experience:
- The successful candidate will bring a strong sporting background and relevant coaching experience, enabling them to contribute positively to the school’s curriculum and co-curricular sports provision.
Role Expectations
As a Graduate Sports Assistant, you will be expected to play a full and active role in the life of the school. In addition to your core duties, you may be required to support with:
- Breakfast club provision.
- After-school supervision and fixtures.
- The school’s wider co-curricular programme.

As an independent school, the term-time schedule is varied, and the postholder is expected to work flexibly and collaboratively throughout term time to support the academic, pastoral, and co-curricular needs of the school community. This may include attendance at occasional evening and weekend commitments, such as school events, sports fixtures, and other co-curricular activities.
