Graduate Structural Engineer

Structural Engineering Graduate – Leeds, West Yorkshire

THE ROLE

My client is a firm of engineering consultants with multiple offices across the UK. They are seeking a structural engineering graduate with one to two years of post-graduation experience, who has experience in design and structural analysis, to join them in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

This role involves:

  • Working with one of the leading firms of consulting engineers.
  • Collaborating on building structures across various sectors including:
    • Offices
    • Retail
    • Residential
    • Industrial
  • Access to excellent training and mentorship for progression toward chartered status.

The Company

  • A firm of engineering consultants specialising in:
    • Building structures
    • Infrastructure
    • Transportation and more.
  • Multiple UK offices.
  • Strong support for professionals aiming for MICE or MIStructE chartered status.

THE CANDIDATE

Requirements

  • A Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering.
  • 1+ years of experience as a structural engineer, covering:
    • Design
    • Structural analysis
  • Familiarity with design software (e.g., TSD, Tedds, or similar).
  • Ability to provide technical report-writing and presentation support.

Responsibilities and Experience

  • Attendance at:
    • Design meetings
    • Site inspections
  • Experience working in a UK consulting engineering firm.
  • Possession of a full, clean UK driving licence (for site access).
  • Strong communication skills for:
    • Liaising with contractors during construction.
    • Collaborating with other consultants and clients.
