Graduate Structural Engineer
Graduate Design Engineer
Agentia is a design-led structural engineering consultancy working at the intersection of architecture, engineering and construction on both UK and International Projects. We collaborate with clients, architects, developers, contractors and wider design teams to deliver thoughtful, efficient and buildable structural solutions.
Our approach combines technical rigour with creative problem-solving. We are interested in buildings that are well considered, carefully detailed and responsive to their architectural, environmental and commercial context.
As the practice continues to grow, we are looking for ambitious engineers who want to develop their design capability, contribute to high-quality projects and build long-term careers in a collaborative consultancy environment.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is curious, reliable and eager to contribute to high-quality design work. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a creative engineering environment and will be motivated by the challenge of turning architectural ideas into practical, elegant and efficient structural solutions.
The Role
Agentia is seeking a motivated Graduate Design Engineer to join our structural engineering team.
This role would suit a recent graduate or early-career engineer who is keen to work on a broad range of building projects both in the UK and Internationally, from early-stage concept design through to detailed design and construction delivery.
You will work as part of a supportive design team, assisting with structural engineering input across sectors such as:

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
