Graduate Structural Engineer – Bristol

Location: Bristol Salary: £30,000 Benefits:

ERS are recruiting on behalf of a well-established structural engineering consultancy seeking a Graduate Structural Engineer to join its expanding team in Bristol. This role offers 1–2 years of UK structural engineering experience and presents an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of private sector projects, including:

  • Industrial developments
  • Logistics projects
  • Residential construction

You’ll gain practical experience in:

  • Designing structures using steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
  • Exposure to different materials and construction techniques under expert mentorship

Responsibilities:

Your role will involve:

  • Assisting with the design and analysis of structural engineering projects
    • Structural calculations and technical reports
    • Creation of technical drawings
  • Collaborating with senior engineers from concept development to construction oversight
  • Attending site visits and inspections
  • Learning and applying UK design standards and building regulations

Requirements:

  • A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 1–2 years of UK structural engineering experience
  • Strong understanding of structural design principles
  • Familiarity with software tools (Tekla, AutoCAD, Revit preferred but not mandatory) is advantageous
  • A progressive mindset with enthusiasm for long-term development
