The Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with experienced teachers and support staff to ensure that every child receives the support that they deserve. You will be working on a 1-2-1 and whole-class basis, supporting children with additional learning needs including Autism, ADHD, Downs Syndrome and associated needs. Your focus will be on ensuring children are nurtured, cared for, and engaged with learning.
The Candidate
This role is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate who is looking to start a career in teaching or working with children with special educational needs. Previous experience working with children is desirable, however, not essential. Most importantly, you will be patient, empathetic, and have a genuine desire to help young people access education.
