About the Role
Position: Graduate Teaching Assistant Term: September 2026 – July 2027 Pay: £80–£95 per day Location: Large primary school in Ward of Yardley
Gain valuable hands-on experience ahead of teacher training in a supportive school environment.
Responsibilities
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group learning support to pupils across core subjects, reinforcing classroom teaching.
- Collaborate with teachers to keep lessons engaging and structured.
- Prepare basic educational resources as needed.
- Assist with daily classroom routines, helping to maintain smooth, effective learning environments.
- Build relationships with children, aiding their educational, social, and emotional development (ages 3–11).

Requirements
- Qualification: A 2:2 degree or above in any subject.
- Communication skills: Strong verbal and written abilities to interact confidently with both staff and pupils.
- Enhanced DBS check: Must hold or be keen to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate (critical for working with children).
- Passion for education: A genuine interest in supporting children’s academic progress and wellbeing.
- Career ambition: Clear ambition to train as a qualified teacher and pursue a teaching career.
