About the Role - Graduate Teaching Assistant - Cirencester

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. Working closely with experienced teachers, you will help deliver engaging lessons, support pupil progress, and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

You will gain hands-on experience supporting pupils both in and out of the classroom, including working with individuals and small groups, and assisting those who may require additional support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting teaching and learning within the classroom
  • Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
  • Working with small groups or on a 1:1 basis when required
  • Encouraging pupil engagement, confidence, and participation
  • Supporting pupils with additional learning or behavioural needs
  • Helping to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborating with teachers and wider school staff

The Ideal Candidate

  • A recent graduate (any subject considered)
  • Passionate about working with children and young people
  • Considering a career in teaching, psychology, or education
  • Positive, proactive, and adaptable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to build rapport quickly with pupils and staff
  • Previous experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential)
