Graduate Teaching Assistant
Graduate Teaching Assistant (Hackney School)
We are looking for a kind and dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant to join an Outstanding Ofsted-rated school in Hackney. This is a full-time, term-time role focusing on providing 1:1 support for students with extra needs.
The Role
- Support: Work 1:1 with students to help them with their daily lessons.
- Resources: Assist in creating and adapting fun learning materials.
- Progress: Monitor student development and report progress back to the teacher.
- Environment: Help manage behaviour and maintain a safe, positive classroom environment.
Requirements
Education
- You must hold a degree (a background in Education, Psychology, or the Arts is ideal).

Experience
- Recent experience in a school or care setting is required.
References
- Satisfactory professional references covering previous work or training must be provided.
Skills
- Strong English and communication skills are essential.
Knowledge
- Understanding of child safety (safeguarding) and an interest in Special Educational Needs (SEN) is critical.
