Graduate Teaching Assistant – Wandsworth – September

Graduate Teaching Assistant | Contract | September start £100–£115 per day Exceptional training and mentoring from experienced teachers and senior leaders Fantastic preparation for PGCE, Schools Direct or Educational Psychology pathways Work alongside a supportive and collaborative staff team Opportunities to gain experience across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 Graduate Teaching Assistant role within a well-established and welcoming primary school This popular Wandsworth primary school educates approximately 384 pupils aged 3-11 and is rated Good by Ofsted. Around 9% of pupils receive SEN Support, with over 4% holding an EHCP. Over 30% of pupils speak English as an Additional Language, reflecting the school’s diverse community. Pupils achieve strong outcomes, with 69% meeting the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Maths at KS2, above the national average. The school is recognised for its inclusive environment, strong pastoral care and positive relationships with families. Graduate Teaching Assistant responsibilities include supporting pupils in class, delivering interventions and providing targeted academic support Graduate Teaching Assistant will work with individuals and small groups to raise attainment and confidence Assist teachers with lesson preparation, classroom activities and assessment tasks Support pupils with SEND and those requiring additional learning support Graduate Teaching Assistant will contribute positively to the wider school community Graduate Teaching Assistant applicants should hold a minimum 2:1 degree from a leading UK university Previous experience working with children is desirable Strong communication, organisation and interpersonal skills are essential Graduate Teaching Assistant candidates must be enthusiastic, proactive and committed to improving outcomes for young people A genuine passion for education and child development is required
