An established and growing planning consultancy is looking to appoint a Graduate Town Planner to join its team in Newmarket. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate (or someone early in their planning career) to gain hands-on experience across a diverse portfolio of projects while being supported in their professional development.
The Role
Responsibilities
- You will work closely with experienced planners and consultants, supporting on a wide range of planning applications and projects across sectors such as residential, commercial, and rural development.
- Responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals
- Conducting site appraisals and planning research
- Supporting the preparation of planning statements and reports
- Liaising with local authorities, clients, and other stakeholders
- Keeping up to date with planning policy and legislation

About You
- A degree (or postgraduate qualification) in Town Planning or a related discipline
- An interest in working towards MRTPI accreditation (support will be provided)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- A full UK driving licence is desirable
