Kick-start your career in insurance with a role where your analytical skills will help shape commercial decisions and deliver real business impact. As a Trading Analyst within our Broker Trading team, you'll play a key role in supporting the performance of our Motor, Van and Home insurance portfolios.
Working with experienced colleagues across the business, you'll turn data into meaningful insights, monitor trading performance and help identify opportunities to drive growth, improve customer outcomes and support our commercial strategy. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your analytical skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment while building a rewarding career.
What will I be doing?
- Supporting the delivery of trading activity to optimise customer acquisition, retention and value across the Broker Insurance portfolio.
- Producing analysis and insight across the sales funnel, including quotes, conversion, sales and key value metrics.
- Undertaking competitor and market analysis to identify trends, opportunities and future trading scenarios.
- Supporting the preparation, validation and maintenance of trading data, ensuring high standards of data quality and governance.
- Providing analytical insight to support business case development and commercial decision-making.
- Delivering accurate analysis and reporting to agreed deadlines, ensuring outputs are clear and actionable.
- Monitoring key Broker trading performance metrics and helping to explain performance trends and drivers.
- Supporting external reporting requirements by producing accurate and timely management information.
- Collaborating with colleagues across trading and commercial teams to provide insight that drives performance improvements.
- Contributing to continuous improvements in reporting, analysis and trading processes through data-led recommendations.

What do I need?
- Degree (2:1 or above) in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or another numerate discipline with a strong analytical focus.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with evidence of applying data analysis as part of your degree.
- Ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights in a clear and engaging way.
- Commercial mindset with a keen interest in using data to support business performance and customer outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence working with a range of stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated approach with a proactive attitude and strong sense of ownership.
- Collaborative style with the ability to build effective working relationships across teams.
- Knowledge of Databricks, SQL, SAS or Power BI, with an interest in developing technical data skills.
