Pro Insurance currently has some exciting new opportunities for Graduate Trainee Claims Technician to join our Legacy Claims Team, processing claims to support an existing client.
Pro currently operates a hybrid working model. The majority of this role will be working at home with travel to the Glasgow, Liverpool or Horsham office on a weekly basis, and other offices as and when required.

Purpose of Role
Reporting to the Claims Manager, the Graduate Claims Technicians will handle a caseload EL/PL disease and illness claims under supervision, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • NIHL
  • HAVs
  • Pleural Plaques
  • Liaising with solicitors and brokers
  • Managing all diaries and post within the agreed SLAs
  • Developing effective business relationships internally and externally
  • Maintain accurate records for auditing and regulatory purposes
  • Identifying potential fraud
  • Proactively support the team in their achievements and overall business objectives
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to external clients
  • Oversight of PLF in respect of any litigated claims to ensure the case strategy is appropriate
  • Contribute to projects relevant to the sub vertical
  • Strengthen Client Relationships
  • Represent Pro in a Professional manner to both peer and potential marketplace acquaintances

Knowledge and skills

  • Technical background relating to EL/PL claims is preferable however not essential. Full training will be provided for the successful candidate
  • Experience in other claims is a distinct advantage
  • Excellent Policy interpretation skills
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Ability to manage competing commitments
  • Effective communication skills and key stakeholder relationship management skills
  • Knowledge of claims handling, fraud and impacting legislation
  • Adaptable to change
  • Claims Handling Authority/Licence appropriate to the work type
  • Strong relationship building skills and a professional and approachable manner
