🚀 Graduate Trainee Customer Success & Account Manager

📍 Location: Manchester City Centre

💼 Salary: £27,000 per annum + Performance Bonus

📅 Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

The Opportunity

Are you a recent graduate looking to launch your career in technology, customer success, and account management?

SMS is looking for a motivated and ambitious Graduate Trainee Customer Success & Account Manager to join our expanding team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with hundreds of businesses, develop valuable commercial and technical skills, and build long-term relationships with customers. You will work closely with our Customer Success, Account Management, and Technical teams to ensure clients receive outstanding service while helping them maximise the value of their IT investments.

You will gain in-depth knowledge of the Microsoft technology ecosystem and a range of complementary products and services, with full training provided. We will support you in working towards Microsoft professional certifications, with all training and examination costs fully funded.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with a portfolio of up to 500 business customers
  • Build strong, long-lasting client partnerships
  • Conduct customer success reviews and account check-ins
  • Help customers maximise the value of Microsoft solutions and managed services
  • Identify opportunities across Microsoft licences, cloud services, and cyber security solutions
  • Prepare quotations and proposals
  • Work with technical consultants to deliver the best solutions
  • Maintain accurate customer records and monitor satisfaction levels
  • Proactively resolve issues and support customer retention

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • A degree in Business, IT, Computing, Marketing, or a related discipline
  • A confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills
  • Organised, proactive, and eager to learn
  • Commercially aware with an interest in technology
  • Analytical with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Comfortable communicating with business owners and decision-makers

Previous experience in customer service, sales, account management, Microsoft 365, Azure, or cloud technologies would be advantageous but is not essential.
