Graduate Trainee Truck Sales Executive – Crossroads Truck & Bus

Location: Rotherham (S60 2XL)

Contract: Fixed 2-year contract with the opportunity for a permanent position


About the Role

Ideal for: Post-graduates in economics or mechanical engineering with some work-based experience (e.g., customer service, sales support, admin, retail, or operations).

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Crossroads team as a Graduate Trainee Truck Sales Executive, where you’ll gain:

  • Supporting senior sales staff with quotations, product information, and customer enquiries.
  • Building relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Developing a strong understanding of commercial vehicles, specifications, and customer needs.
  • Visiting customers alongside experienced team members.
  • Learning to manage accounts, identify opportunities, negotiate, and close sales.
  • Gaining exposure to the operational side of the business to understand product support for customers.

What We’re Looking For

  • A degree in economics or mechanical engineering (or a related field).
  • Work-based experience (e.g., customer-facing roles, business support, sales/marketing, transport/logistics).
  • Genuine interest in developing a career in B2B sales.
  • Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to learn quickly.
  • Driven, ambitious, and eager to progress.
  • A clean and valid driving licence.
