Junior Treasury Dealer / Treasury Analyst

Our client is a well-established international banking institution with a strong presence across Europe, the Middle East, and international markets. Combining decades of banking heritage with a growing UK franchise, the organisation is renowned for delivering relationship-led banking services across:

As part of continued growth within the London operation, we are seeking an ambitious young professional to join our close-knit team in the role of Junior Treasury Dealer / Treasury Analyst.

About the Role

This role offers broad exposure across Treasury, Liquidity Management, Foreign Exchange, Settlements, and Credit. Performance will initially focus on treasury and operational activities, but the position also presents an opportunity to progress into wider banking disciplines, including potential exposure to the Credit function.

The ideal candidate will work directly alongside senior management, gaining hands-on experience in diverse front-to-back banking activities in a high-impact, commercially critical role.


Key Responsibilities

Treasury & Liquidity Operations

  • Support the day-to-day management of the Bank’s liquidity position
  • Assist with Money Market, Foreign Exchange, and Fixed Income transactions
  • Monitor funding requirements and liquidity movements
  • Prepare daily treasury reporting and profitability analysis
  • Assist in counterparty bank relationship management and onboarding activities
  • Support treasury settlements and operational processing requirements

FX & Position Management

  • Monitor FX positions throughout the trading day
  • Ensure positions remain within approved risk parameters
  • Assist in the management of Net Open FX Positions and overnight limits
  • Support stop-loss limits and risk controls
  • Prepare accurate market and position reporting for senior management

Risk, Controls & Compliance

  • Monitor interbank, treasury, and foreign exchange limits
  • Ensure alignment with the Bank’s risk appetite framework
  • Support adherence to FCA, PRA, Bank of England, and UK MAR regulations
  • Contribute to operational controls and first-line risk management
  • Escalate operational issues and potential risks promptly

Credit & Business Support

  • Provide occasional support to the Credit function as needed
  • Assist with customer interest certificates and audit requests
  • Contribute to due diligence and onboarding reviews for banking counterparts
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Treasury, Operations, Risk, and Credit
  • Participate in business process improvement initiatives

About You

We are looking for a 2025/2026 graduate, college or school leaver with:

  • At least one internship or rotation experience in a regulated banking or financial services firm
  • UK educational background (no sponsorship required)
