Graduate Development Programme
To Successfully complete the Medivet 12-month Graduate Development Programme whilst working as a Veterinary Surgeon delivering professional and exceptional care to both clients and patients.
Client & Patient Care
- To undertake, and successfully complete the Graduate Veterinary Surgeon Development Programme
- To work as part of the team to deliver all veterinary services, in line with the scope and quality required by Medivet and ensuring a positive client experience whilst displaying our values of Trustworthy & Empowering, Caring and Progressive
- To undertake consultations with clients developing skills in diagnosing common conditions
- Provide high standards of clinical care to your clients and patients to perform a range of diagnostic and surgical procedures that are commonly required in first opinion small animal practice
- Work with your team to deliver the branch budget through income generation
- Work with your branch team to effectively implement and embed projects, initiatives and policy developments within the required timescales
- Act as an ambassador of the Medivet brand.

Standards & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all standards and agreed ways of working.
- Ensure compliance with risk assurance processes in your branch including health and safety; security; clinical governance, Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) Code of Professional Conduct and data protection.
Skills, knowledge and experience
- Client and patient care experience
- Strong team working skills and ability to build relationships
- Ability to communicate confidently at all levels and build rapport quickly
- Demonstrates resilience through responding positively and learning from setbacks
- Ability to seek out opportunity to support own development
Qualifications and Eligibility:
- Possess one of the following qualifications, BVSc, VetMB, BVM&S, BVMS, BVM, BVS, BVMedSci, BVetMed, BVMSci or a Veterinary qualification accepted by the RCVS that permits you to enter the RCVS Veterinary Surgeons Register. MRCVS (at start of programme)
- Eligibility to work in UK
- Experience of Extra Mural Studies at Medivet (desirable)
- Driving License to support travel between branches/24hrs sites (desirable)
