About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and proactive Website Programmer to manage our e-commerce websites. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems independently, learning new technologies, and taking initiative.

You will:

  • Maintain, test, and update websites, applications, and software solutions across a range of projects.
  • Work in a hands-on, practical role where learning comes through experience, research, and self-development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain websites and software applications
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
  • Debug and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Collaborate with designers and developers on various projects
  • Test applications to ensure functionality and performance
  • Research solutions and learn new technologies independently
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and projects

Selection Process

You must live near Canterbury in East Kent, UK. This is an office-based role, so your application must:

  • Clearly demonstrate that you understand the requirement.

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Development, or a related field
  • Basic knowledge of:
    • Programming languages: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, Java, C#, or PHP
    • Databases and web technologies
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Self-motivated learner with the ability to develop skills independently
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to take initiative
