The Role
DigitalKOG is looking for a Graduate or Junior Graphic Designer to join our creative marketing team in Preston. We welcome applications from ambitious designers with strong creative potential and a genuine enthusiasm for design. We are looking for someone with a natural creative flair who enjoys developing ideas and creating engaging design work for our home improvement clients.

Our creative approach is always evolving. We continually refine our design output to stay responsive to changing trends, audience behaviour and the wider marketing landscape. Every piece of work is rooted in a clear understanding of each client and their brand strategy, so we are looking for someone who is ready to embrace that mindset and develop a strong sense of creative purpose.
In this role, you will benefit from direct mentorship from our Creative Director and Senior Creative Designer. You will work across a wide range of projects, helping to turn campaign concepts into effective creative content across multiple marketing channels. This will include concept development, front-end web design, email marketing, social content creation, and creative copywriting. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with the wider creative team while collaborating with our experienced marketing specialists.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have experience using Adobe Creative Suite. Agency experience or a relevant placement would be beneficial, but it is not essential.
Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Experience with After Effects and Adobe XD would be an advantage, but is not essential.
- A good eye for typography, layout, and visual hierarchy, with the ability to create effective, well-balanced designs.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Creative, curious and willing to explore new ideas and approaches.
- Comfortable collaborating with the wider team to help maintain high creative standards and output.
- Confident managing multiple projects at once and working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to communicate ideas visually in a clear, thoughtful and well-reasoned way.
- Skilled in typography and layout skills within highly effective designs.
- A positive team player who can also use their own initiative and work independently when needed.
- Willing to ask for feedback, proof checks, and guidance at the right stages to ensure work meets expectations before final delivery.
- A genuine interest in current design trends, social culture, and digital design best practices.
- Able to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities or project requirements.
- An interest in designing for a range of marketing channels, including web, email, and social media.
- Eager to learn, develop new skills, and grow within a creative marketing team.
- Keen to understand client brands, target audiences, and the commercial purpose behind the work.
