At Alba Orbital, we're a global leader in PocketQube satellite technology. Working alongside leading launch providers including SpaceX and Rocket Lab, we've successfully launched more than 50 satellites into orbit for customers around the world.
We're now looking for a talented Grant Proposal Writer to help secure funding for the next generation of innovative space projects.

About the role
You'll play an important role in identifying funding opportunities and preparing high-quality grant applications that support Alba Orbital's continued growth and innovation.

Working closely with our Engineering and Finance teams, you'll gather technical and commercial information before transforming it into clear, persuasive funding proposals.
You don't need to be an engineer. Our technical specialists will provide the expertise—you'll use your writing, research and organisational skills to communicate it effectively.
What you'll be doing:
- Research UK and international grant funding opportunities.
- Prepare compelling, well-structured grant applications.
- Work closely with engineers and finance colleagues to gather technical and commercial information.
- Manage multiple proposal deadlines and submissions.
- Track funding opportunities and application progress.
- Help secure investment that supports the development of new space technologies.
What we're looking for:
Essential
- Excellent written English and communication skills.
- Outstanding attention to detail.
- Strong research and organisational abilities.
- The ability to understand complex information and communicate it clearly.
- Good Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
