Location: [One of the Arts Council of Wales offices (Cardiff, Colwyn Bay or Carmarthen)] with hybrid working Type: Part-time (22.2 hours per week) Salary: £17,341.20 - £19,393.20 (Full-time equivalent: £28,902 - £32,322) Permanent position: Yes Grade: Grade B

About the Role

As a Grants Assistant, you’ll play a critical role in supporting the delivery of Arts Council of Wales funding programmes.

By collaborating closely with colleagues across the organisation, you will:

  • Support the setup and administration of funding schemes
  • Process applications and grants throughout their full lifecycle
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information within grant management systems
  • Provide advice and guidance to applicants and staff on funding processes
  • Review application budgets and supporting information
  • Ensure applications meet governance and compliance requirements

About You

We seek someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and confident working with both data and people.

In this role, you will:

  • Work accurately with data and financial information
  • Communicate clearly with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Manage a blend of administrative and analytical tasks
  • Support colleagues and applicants in a professional and helpful manner
  • Exercise close attention to detail and governance needs
  • Adopt a proactive and collaborative approach to your responsibilities
