Grant Writer (Proactive Volunteer) – Breast Cancer Charity Support Role

This role is ideal for a proactive volunteer with experience in grant writing and income-generation tasks.

About the Role

Help grow the reach and sustainability of a small charity, ensuring we can continue our work in areola tattooing for those affected by breast cancer—completely free of charge to recipients.

Why it matters

By securing funding for this crucial role—funding bids—you’ll directly impact the organisation’s sustainability, growth, and ability to deliver vital services. Collaborating with our passionate, close-knit team, you’ll play a pivotal part in shaping our resources for lasting impact.

This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in fundraising and grant writing, while also making an immediate difference in breast cancer support.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Criteria

  • Experience in grant writing, with the ability to craft clear, compelling funding applications
  • Previous experience within the charity sector (preferred)
  • Strong research skills—able to identify relevant funding opportunities (trusts, awards, foundations, grant bodies)
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Full custom proficiency (Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint & Excel)
  • Attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work autonomously, remotely as part of a volunteer-led team
  • A proactive, reliable, and passion-driven mindset aligned with our mission

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
