Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow/Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Contract & Grant Payment Officer for a 6 month contract with possibility of an extension on a rate of £21.77/hour (PAYE).

Responsibilities

  • Deal appropriately with challenging individuals and organisations who have been, or looking to be awarded grants for cladding assessment and remediation work.
  • Working to gather, verify, assess information to enable an accurate decision to be taken that may impact an assessment for a payment.
  • You will be reviewing grant claims through a variety of means e.g. MS Teams interviews; ensuring declarations and changes have been reported at the right time and taking appropriate corrective action if errors are found.
  • You may manage and conduct fraud investigations or robust reviews, in accordance with all legal and policy requirements, pursuing all reasonable lines of enquiry.
  • Contributing to the timely and accurate completion of budgeting monitoring and reporting exercises and provide management with robust information and explanations to assist them in making informed decisions.
  • Provision of high quality monthly financial reports to senior officials, influencing and challenging budget holders, assisting them to make informed decisions.
  • Aid stakeholders in making grant award claims and build and maintain effective working relationships with business areas.
  • Any add-hoc duties commensurate to your role.
