Graphic Designer

About the Role
Hauser & Wirth is the leading commercial gallery globally for modern and contemporary art, with spaces across Europe, USA, and Asia. We are seeking a collaborative, creative, and highly skilled Graphic Designer to join the Design Team and help build and maintain our brand during our ongoing expansion. This role involves designing and developing both digital and print campaigns to effectively promote our artists and exhibitions.
The ideal candidate should be a well-rounded Graphic Designer, proficient in both digital and print, with a deep understanding of visual design principles. You should have strong experience in creating assets for a variety of platforms and channels, including:
- Digital and printed ad campaigns
- Out-of-home (OOH) advertising
- Email marketing
- Social media campaigns
- Responsive and mobile-first websites
- Long-form content design
You will work closely with the Marketing, Comms, and Digital Product teams, contributing to campaigns, defining design requirements, setting creative direction, and iterating on solutions. Your role will involve conceptualising and executing designs that promote our artists and exhibitions within our galleries and at the major art fairs we participate in.

Creating design concepts that allow the gallery to generate and execute high-quality designs from concept to delivery.

Collaborating with the Design Team to develop cutting-edge digital and print designs that support the promotion of our artists and exhibitions.

Serving as a key stakeholder in the ongoing development of Hauser & Wirth’s brand identity, ensuring adherence to and guardianship of brand standards.

Partnering with Digital Product and Marketing Teams to align designs with brand guidelines while maintaining usability and digital standards.

Producing digital assets (including static, video, and HTML) for:
- Social media
- OOH/display advertising
- eCommerce
- Email marketing
- Downloadable PDFs
- Mobile and desktop website content

Developing print assets for:
- Newspaper and publication advertising
- Brochures and booklets
- Long-form content
- Wayfinding and information design

Consistently applying brand guidelines to construct cohesive multi-channel visual assets.

Creating long-form content that is optimised for mobile, desktop, and print use.

Designing and producing:
- Dinner invitations
- Menus
- Event flyers
- Booklets
- Posters
- Exhibitions-related packaging
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Digital Design, or a related field.
- At least 3–5 years’ experience in a graphic design role.
- A passion for the power of design to transform experiences.
- A proven track record in effective digital campaigns and content design.
- Ability to work independently to solve problems, mitigate risks, make decisions, and communicate efficiently under tight deadlines and challenging circumstances.
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, the ability to thrive in a multi-disciplinary environment, and an enthusiasm for collaboration.
- A creative thinker capable of asserting a unique perspective in both design output and problem-solving.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Expertise in:
- Industry-standard digital design, presentation, and prototyping tools, including:
- The adobe suite (including After Effects and InDesign)
- InVision
- Figma
- Similar software
- CSS and HTML
- Industry-standard digital design, presentation, and prototyping tools, including:
- Experience (an advantage, but not essential) in:
- Motion graphics creation
- Video editing
- Knowledge of WCAG and ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) accessibility best practices across all platforms.
- A genuine passion for art (preferably experience within art institutions, cultural sectors, or designing for art galleries).
