Graphic Designer
Fixed-Term Contract Graphic Designer & Motion & Digital Designer 6-month contract
About the Role
To create high-quality, on-brand visual, motion and digital design that strengthens Transport for Wales’ (TfW) brand identity and supports effective communication, campaign delivery, and customer engagement during a period of increased brand and campaign activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop impactful design solutions in response to creative briefs, aligning with brand, campaign and communication objectives.
- Deliver high-quality creative assets across print, digital, social media, animation, and motion, maintaining consistent adherence to TfW brand guidelines.
- Plan, storyboard, and produce motion and video content from concept to final delivery, collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers as necessary.
- Evolve and maintain brand artwork, master templates, and design toolkits to support cohesive brand application across the organisation.
- Advise on and enforce brand consistency, offering guidance and constructive feedback on TfW’s visual identity usage.
- Manage and update the brand hub and digital asset management system, ensuring assets are current, accessible, and well-governed.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, partners, and suppliers to deliver projects on time, in budget, and to brief.
- Contribute insight, ideas, and creative thinking to shape TfW’s ongoing brand development, campaigns, and initiatives.

Who We’re Looking For
Essential Criteria
- Degree or equivalent professional experience in graphic design or a related discipline.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) and Figma.
- Portfolio showcasing graphic design, illustration, and motion design work.
- Experience responding effectively to creative briefs across multi-channel platforms.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- QuickAbility to adapt to established brand guidelines and processes.
- Collaborative experience with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Welsh Language Skills
While not mandatory, Welsh language skills would be a welcome asset. TfW offers funded training, online courses, and classroom resolutions for those seeking to learn or improve their Welsh.
