Designer Opportunity at The Energy Cell
We have a great opportunity for a talented Designer to join our agency team in Lincoln.
The Energy Cell is an established integrated design agency with a diverse client portfolio ranging from ambitious regional companies to national organisations and internationally recognised brands - across a range of business and consumer sectors including agri-science, finance, food and drink, leisure, technology, travel and more.
The successful candidate will work on an unlimited range of multi-channel projects supporting our clients in their everyday commercial and marketing activities, from digital campaigns and web activity, to printed collateral, advertising campaigns and branding. (Clients include Continental, Lavazza, Aimia Foods, Lincolnshire Co-op, Lincolnshire County Council, UPL and more).
We’re looking for a multi-disciplined designer with a strong blend of experience across print and digital activity and a portfolio that’s packed full of engaging work demonstrating first-class skills across both traditional and digital media.
We expect a well-organised, design professional who can bring hard work and dedication. A versatile team player who can show passion and drive for design excellence and is used to working collaboratively, with previous experience working within a fast-paced, results-driven design agency environment.

Design professionals wishing to be considered for this important role in our team, will be ambitious and passionate, and wishing to secure a long-term role in our established and well-respected agency. You will be experienced at conceptualising and executing ideas across print and digital, working sometimes individually and more often as part of a team on long-term campaigns and projects, so excellent communication skills and fantastic attention to detail is essential.
Working with other members of the team, we look for the ability to interpret and execute against a client brief. Candidates must be able to combine creativity and logic to design beautiful and functional design solutions that will help to drive the greatest results.
We’ll be looking for the following...
- Degree or similar in a Graphic or Digital Design related subject (not essential).
- Minimum 2 years studio experience (agency or mix of in-house and agency).
- A strong portfolio, experience across campaigns including branding, print, digital platforms and a high level of craft ability and attention to detail.
- Good understanding of online user experience & design for digital applications.
- Ability to present and rationalise your ideas to the team and clients.
- Video editing experience and/or animation will be an advantage.

- Salary: from £26,000-£32,000, dependent on experience and responsibilities + bonuses.
