About The Role
The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating high-quality visual communications that strengthen BSRIA's brand, support marketing activity, and engage internal and external audiences. Working closely with the Marketing team and wider stakeholders, the role translates briefs into effective print and digital assets, ensuring all creative output is accurate, accessible, on brand and delivered to deadline.
Key Duties
- Creative Design Delivery: Design engaging visual assets for campaigns, events, social media, websites, reports, brochures, presentations, email communications, advertisements and other marketing collateral.
- Brand Consistency: Apply and uphold BSRIA brand guidelines across all materials, ensuring a consistent, professional and recognisable visual identity.
- Brief Interpretation: Work with the Marketing team and internal stakeholders to understand objectives, audiences, messages and required outputs, turning briefs into clear and effective design solutions.
- Digital and Print Production: Prepare artwork for digital and print use, ensuring correct formats, specifications, quality checks and version control are maintained.
- Content Enhancement: Create layouts, infographics, icons and visual treatments that make technical or detailed information easier to understand and more visually engaging.
- Collaboration and Feedback: Collaborate positively with colleagues, respond constructively to feedback and revise designs to meet agreed objectives and quality standards.
- Project and Time Management: Manage multiple design requests, prioritise workload, communicate progress and deliver work within agreed deadlines.
- Creative Development: Keep up to date with design trends, accessibility principles, digital formats and relevant software developments to continuously improve creative output.
- Maintain organised design files, templates and image assets so that materials are easy to locate, update and reuse.
- Undertake any other duties commensurate with the role.

About You
- Degree, HND, professional qualification or equivalent experience in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Creative Media, Marketing, Digital Design or a related discipline.
- A strong design portfolio demonstrating creative ability, brand application, layout, typography and experience across digital and print outputs.
- Evidence of continuing professional development in design software, digital content creation, accessibility, branding or related creative practice would be advantageous.
- 2-3 years' professional experience in a graphic design role (agency or in-house).
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Strong understanding of layout, typography, and visual storytelling.
- Experience in video editing and animation is desired but not essential.
