About the Role
As a Mitratech GRC Risk Consultant, you’ll work within a dynamic, cross-functional team delivering client-facing professional services across various GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) engagements. Your focus will centre on risk remediation, audits, and risk advisory, under the guidance of senior consultants—while occasionally supporting other business functions and Prevalent service delivery.

While primarily 80% remote, this role requires onsite client visits as well as office attendance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support risk remediation and compliance aligned with regulatory obligations for clients.
- Assist senior consultants in risk reviews and contribute to official reporting outputs.
- Help clients develop and track remediation programs.
- Conduct remote and onsite audits for control validation.
- Assess vendor compliances concerning privacy and data protection.
- Review client policies (data privacy & protection) under senior guidance.
- Stay updated on developments in data protection law and information security best practices.
- Engage with stakeholders to champion information security & data privacy initiatives.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date project documentation.
Requirements
Previous Experience
- 1–2+ years in compliance, information security, data protection, or a related field.
- Exposure to client-facing services (training or professional work preferred).
- Background or studies in Cyber Security, Information Security, Law, or relevant disciplines.
- Interest in GRC, risk management, and data privacy.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, GDPR, NIST (or similar standards) is advantageous.
- Awareness of certifications such as CISMP, CompTIA Security+.
- Strong analytical mindset with a passion for problem-solving complex risks.
