CLASS 2 HGV DRIVER – SAINSBURY’S LOCAL DELIVERIES
Location: Greenford (UB6) –
Employer: Wincanton Dedicated Grocery (on behalf of Sainsbury’s)
Pay: £17.93 per hour + overtime + full benefits
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Shifts: Days – Start times between 06:00–07:30 | Any 5 days from 7
ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re recruiting Class 2 (Category C) Drivers to support Sainsbury’s convenience store network. You’ll play a key role in ensuring stores are stocked on time, delivering safely, efficiently, and with a high level of service.
This is a stable, long-term opportunity with one of the UK’s leading logistics providers, working on a well-established grocery contract.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Completing multi-drop deliveries to Sainsbury’s local stores and RDCs
- Delivering caged and palletised goods using tail lift and kerbside methods
- Ensuring all delivery paperwork is accurate and completed correctly
- Collecting empties, returns and agreed waste materials
- Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Providing excellent customer service as a representative of Wincanton & Sainsbury’s
- Staying compliant with tachograph, driver hours and transport regulations

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Minimum 6 months Class 2 driving experience
- No more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Reliable, professional and able to work independently
- Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays
