Location: Havant, Hampshire, UK Salary: £81,000 – £100,500 p/a + Comprehensive Benefits + Bonus Hours: 37.5 hours per week (with 4-day work week option)

About This Role
You will play a pivotal role in developing the ground segment of a satellite communications system, from design to implementation—ensuring full alignment with customer requirements and commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Decision-Making
- Accountability for setting direction, allocating resources, and driving organisational success
- Десiсiонithat affect financial outcomes, team performance, and public relations
- Decision authority over technical and operational challenges

Project & Team Coordination
- Managing recruitment, training, performance assessments, and disciplinary actions for subordinates
- Supervising middle management, technical leadership, and specialist teams to ensure project delivery
- Building and maintaining long-term strategies for innovation and technology advancement

Expertise & External Representation
- Full proficiency in both hardware and software ground segment systems, liaising with customers and stakeholders
- Competence in high-level technical discussions, justifying ground segment specifications and performance
Required Skills & Experience
- You’ll thrive in this role if you have:
- Extensive related experience in space, ground systems, satellite communications, or relevant engineering disciplines
- Post-secondary education or certifications (degree-level preferred) in engineering, computer science, or aerospace-related fields
- Strong technical expertise in ground hardware/software integration, mission control, and system engineering
- Experience in managing teams and implementing objective-directed solutions
