Ground Maintenance Operative - Greenford

What We Do: Developing and writing quality reports both internally for GBS and for GBS partner organisations and other external agencies. To contribute to preparations for degree awarding powers.
About the Role: The primary purpose of this role is to deliver comprehensive maintenance services across the campus. This includes maintaining the grounds and green spaces as well as performing general maintenance tasks within the buildings to ensure both outdoor and indoor areas are safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing.
The role requires flexibility to work at any time during campus opening hours, which are from 7:00 am to 9:30 pm Monday to Friday and from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays, unless otherwise specified.
Please note: This role is not eligible for sponsorship and will require a DBS!

What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in grounds and general maintenance roles within commercial or institutional settings.
- Practical knowledge of gardening techniques and general building maintenance tasks.
- Ability to use and maintain a range of gardening tools and equipment safely.
- Familiarity with COSHH requirements and safe handling of chemicals.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle manual tasks and repairs.
- Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexible and proactive approach with a positive attitude.
