Maintenance & Grounds Team Member
The Maintenance & Grounds Team Member plays a key role in ensuring the overall upkeep, safety, and presentation of the holiday park. This is a hands-on, varied role combining general maintenance duties with grounds and landscaping responsibilities to ensure all facilities, holiday homes, and outdoor areas are maintained to a high standard.
Working collaboratively within the park team, the role supports the delivery of an excellent experience for holiday homeowners and guests by maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across all areas of the park.
Duties
- Carrying out routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of holiday homes, park facilities, and infrastructure
- Maintaining and repairing public facilities, including communal areas, amenities, and recreational spaces
- Inspecting and supporting utility systems such as water, sewage, gas, and electrical services
- Performing landscaping duties including mowing, trimming, edging, planting, and general grounds upkeep
- Monitoring and controlling weeds, and assisting with pitch and site enhancements
- Preparing caravan and holiday home pitches to a high standard for guest arrivals
- Supporting site cleanliness through waste collection, recycling management, and safe disposal of materials
- Delivering and exchanging gas bottles and supporting associated operational tasks
- Inspecting outdoor amenities such as playgrounds and reporting defects or maintenance needs
- Responding to maintenance issues and resolving faults in a timely and efficient manner
- Engaging with guests and owners in a friendly and professional manner, providing assistance where required
- Working collaboratively with team members across maintenance and grounds functions
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed, materials used, and any identified issues
- Ensuring all work is carried out in line with company health and safety standards
- Carrying out any other duties as required to support the operation of the park

Skills Required
- Basic knowledge of maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, and general repairs
- Experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or similar practical roles
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools and grounds maintenance equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high presentation standards
- Good problem-solving skills with a proactive and flexible approach
- Ability to carry out physical tasks including lifting and working outdoors in varying conditions
- Good communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with guests and team members
- Basic IT skills, including the ability to use company systems and workflow applications
Qualifications/Experience
- Previous experience in maintenance, groundskeeping, or a similar role (desirable)
- Practical, hands-on skills in maintenance or landscaping work
- Relevant trade or vocational qualifications (advantageous but not essential)
Health and Safety
- Promote and maintain a safe working culture on site at all times
- Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures
- Ensure safe working practices are always demonstrated
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required
- Report all accidents, incidents, hazards, and near misses promptly to management
- Maintain a safe and tidy working environment at all times
