Grounds Caretaker
Location: Canary Wharf, London
Salary: £28, 860 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Caretaker will work 5 days out of 7, between the hours of 8:30am - 5:00pm. You will be required to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and hands-on caretaker to support the day to day upkeep and presentation of our residential property and communal areas. In this vital role, you'll help ensure the environment is well-maintained, safe, and pleasant for our residents, staff, and visitors.
Key responsibilities
Carry out minor maintenance and repair tasks. Maintaining cleanliness in all communal areas, including reception areas and courtyards. Managing waste and recycling, including rotating bins and using cardboard compactor (full training provided). Conducting regular building and grounds patrols to identify and report issues. Moving furniture and equipment across the property when needed. Supporting the wider team, including Maintenance and Customer Service, with day-to-day and ad hoc tasks. Buffering communal floors with floor buffering machine (full training provided). Performing basic outdoor care such as litter picking, sweeping, and jet-washing walkways. Ensuring car parks are tidy and vehicles are parked correctly.
Skills & Experience We're Looking For
A strong customer service attitude with a willingness to go above and beyond. Show initiative when identifying and resolving issues. Experience working efficiently, independently and as part of a wider team. Experience using heavy machinery including floor buffering machine and cardboard compactor or similar.
