Grounds Maintenance Operative
Position: Grounds Maintenance Operative
Location: Static site based in Tadworth
Contract: Full Time (40 hours per week), Permanent
Salary: £29,200 per annum (basic)
Reporting To: Team Leader

The Role
As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will carry out a range of daily grounds maintenance activities on a static site, including:

Key Duties:

General Grounds Maintenance
- Grass cutting and strimming
- Shrub pruning
- Hedge cutting
- Weed maintenance
- Application of herbicides (if certificated)
- Litter picking

Equipment Use
- Operations with a range of powered and non-powered horticultural tools

Soft Landscaping Support
- Assistance with planting and landscaping projects

Vehicle Handling
- Safe driving of the company vehicle

Task Flexibility
- Performing additional duties within your skill set as required by management
Core Expectations:
All role holders must:
- Present our organisation in a professional manner
- Comply with all health and safety protocols
- Ensure client satisfaction meets our high standards
- Initiate improvements to our processes or services
- Submit timesheets and documentation promptly
Requirements & Experience
Essential:
- Full UK driving licence
- Garden maintenance experience (prior practical involvement)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team (Plant knowledge is advantageous but not mandatory)

The successful applicant should: ✔ Have experience in a similar grounds maintenance role ✔ Display a passion for horticulture ✔ Be physically fit, prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions
